Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (P.S.H.E)
P.S.H.E focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and attributes to keep children and young people healthy and safe and to prepare them for life and work.
We follow 'Jigsaw' which is a unique, spiral, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children/young people for life, helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.
Jigsaw PSHE ensures that learning from previous years is revisited and extended, adding new concepts, knowledge and skills, year on year as appropriate.
In addition, we focus on our six key values, woven throughout our curriculum.
Our children have the benefit of something called Protective Behaviours curriculum. This helps children to identify when they do not feel safe or comfortable. Part of that work includes helping children to identify their personal network of trusted adults, who they could talk to if anything was worrying them or leaving them feeling unsafe.
Use the network hand document with your child to draw or label who they would choose to share worries with.
