The outcome of our most recent Ofsted Insoection in July, 2026:

The ‘Expected standard’ is a high bar, equating to a high ‘Good’ in the previous Inspection grading.

We achieved the ‘Expected standard’ in Early Years, Curriculum & Teaching, Leadership & Governance, Personal Development & Well-being, Inclusion and Achievement.

We nearly scored ‘Strong standard’ in the 4 bold!

‘Needs attention’ was awarded for ‘Attendance and behaviour’ and was purely down to our poor school attendance figures that are below the National Average. The Inspectors report that:

  • Leaders have strengthened systems to promote regular attendance.

  • Although attendance remains below national averages, leaders' actions are beginning to improve attendance.

  • Leaders have systems in place to challenge parents when necessary. However, despite this, absence remains too high for some pupils.

The ‘Needs attention’ does not reflect behaviour. The Inspectors saw and celebrated the huge improvements in behaviour since the last inspection 3 years ago:

  • Leaders have established a clear approach to behaviour that is understood and

implemented consistently by staff.

  • Staff use a relationship-led approach when responding to behaviour.

  • Pupils learn what positive behaviour looks like from the early years onwards and

respond well to the school's expectations and routines.

  • Behaviour across the school is calm and orderly.

  • Pupils show positive attitudes to learning and engage well in lessons.

  • Parents and carers value the work the school does to encourage and celebrate positive behaviour.
